Water purifier is currently a popular and indispensable device in the daily life of families in Vietnam. In recent years, the demand for water purifiers in this country has increased sharply, mainly due to awareness of the importance of clean and safe water for health.

According to current regulations, 100% new water purifiers are not on the list of prohibited goods. However, for used water purifiers, they will be on the list of prohibited items.
For water purifiers with hot and cold heating, the quality of imported products will have to be checked.
HS code and taxes applicable to water purifiers
Imported water purifiers have an HS code of 84212111, with preferential import tax of 5% and VAT of 8%.

A dossier of registration for quality inspection of a water purifier includes:

Water Purifier Import Process
Step 1: Declare customs declaration
After having all import documents such as contracts, commercial invoices, bills of lading, packing list, certificate of origin and determining the HS code of the water purifier, it is possible to declare information on the electronic customs system through specialized software.
Step 2: Open the customs declaration
After completing the customs declaration, the customs system will return the results of the declaration streaming, then print the declaration and bring the import dossier to the customs department. Depending on the green, yellow and red declaration stream, take steps to open the declaration.
Step 3: Customs declaration clearance
After checking the application, if there are no questions about information and documents, the customs officer will accept the customs clearance of the declaration. The importer of the water purifier can proceed to pay import tax to the customs party for customs clearance of goods.
Step 4: Return the goods to the storage warehouse
After the customs declaration has been approved, the declaration will be liquidated and necessary procedures will be carried out to bring the goods to the warehouse.
